We’re surrounded by design.
It’s found in the painted colors of a sunset, flower petals that radiate from the center and ripples in the sand. It’s in the alignment of planets, the genetic code in DNA and newborn animals that know how to walk. It’s in architecture that reaches for the sky, inside galleries, printed on your duvet cover and favorite coffee mug.
Every day I’m compelled to draw and make something with my hands, adding my unique perspective to this world. I believe creativity is both a gift and responsibility, and one that I want to manage well.
So today, I’m sharing my artistic expressions through graphic design, patterns, prints for your walls, art you can download and finely crafted metalsmith jewelry.
Thanks for allowing my work to bring out the designer in you.
Each of my designs is created using a combination of pen and pencil on paper and professional Adobe graphics software, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
My first personal project “100 Days of Pillows” is complete! For 100 weekdays I committed to creating a new design that could be printed on fabric used for a throw pillow. You can see them all together by searching the hashtag #stewardpillows on Instagram. And, you can read about the lessons I learned from this project, and see the designs on the blog, by clicking here.
