Ladybug Watercolor Painting – whimsical art for the gardener or nature lover.
There are lots of ladybugs in Atlanta, Georgia, especially during the fall. Their spotted wings strike me as whimsical and happy. I often include them in my artwork and jewelry.
This is an original watercolor and ink painting on heavy paper. It’s a small painting but packs a punch! A ladybug with red wings is the focal point, with spots drawn in black ink. The background is a soft, cool blue color. I left a thin, white border around the edges of the paper for interest.
You can frame this painting under glass or display it on a tiny easel. Or, you can clip it to your favorite backdrop. There are no rules when it comes to displaying your favorite artwork!
